Thryiod out of Range since Feb 2025 plus Menopausal
Hello, im 53 and going through menopause at the time. Which has really messed up my tsh thyriod levels off.
So my thryiod tsh t4 and t3 levels have been up and down since February 2025. I do see a specialist but they cant seem to get my tsh into good range. Its been as low as .234 and as high as 19.8.
Its so hard daily to deal with the symptoms. Body aches and weakness in my hips lower back and thighs, anxiety, tingling in the legs and shins, fatigue, nausea, Which also make my acid reflux and vestibular migrains worse with blurred vision and almost daily blurred vision. I wake up at about 7 or 8am feeling horrible at least evry other day. But by about 4 pm I start feeling better but then to wake up next day to start all over again. I also get bad hotflushes that give me nauseas and anxiety. Is anyone else dealing with similar symptoms due to menopause and bad thryiod? Just wondering if anyone else is feeling this way and can talk to me. Thank you ♥️

When my tsh was too high (7 maybe) I was told it was from the pituitary gland and was because the thyroid gland was not working right. ( I had two small benign nodules.) This was in 1988 and I have been on Synthroid since and my number are ok 99% of the time. A small adjustment in dose is made if it goes too low. TSH too low means too much thyroid hormone. I cannot understand a doc not being able to help-you see an endocrinologist? My doc says the TSH is what matters.
What's the difference between levothyroxin and synthriod? I have seen an endocrinologist but he hasn't really done much to help me get better.
Synthroid is the brand. If you start on one, you should not switch, levothyroxine is generic and probably cheaper, depending on your insurance. Maybe you should see a different endocrinologist?
