Thrush

Four months into treatment and just got diagnosed with Thrush 🫤 wasn't feeling great since last weekend- sore tongue/throat everything I was eating/drinking tasted sour/weird. Primary Dr prescribed Rx for ten days and it seems to be helping.

Primary said it's most likely due to the steroids I take twice weekly. Is this something you deal on a constant basis with treatment/s.

I have minor thrush on my tongue due to Budesonide I started 3 weeks ago. Steroids can change one's body chemistry, making yeast infections more likely. We become more alkaline (less acidic), so more prone to fungal infestations. I drink kombucha every day which seems to balance it out (a probiotic mix of bacteria and yeast, and slightly acidic). When I was in my 20's I was on birth control pills, but had to stop because they caused massive thrush throughout my GI tract and other; my doctor sent me to a natural grocers store for some probiotic mix that knocked it out. As an aside, if one is prone to kidney stones then drinking citrus water also decreases Ph (less alkaline) so less likely to get stones.
