What's your experience with Orgovyx (relugolix)?

Thanks for the update. I completed my SBRT last Monday. My 1st post-radiation PSA will be mid-July. My libido was gone after 2 weeks on Orgovyx. I wish you well on your remaining treatments.

Hi, I have been on Orgovyx for 3 months of a scheduled 6 months. It brought down my psa from 19.9 to 5.7 after 2 months. It messes up my stomach and I have several hot flashes a day. My testosterone is down to about nothing. I have 10 radiation treatments left of a scheduled 28. The prep for it a pain. I also have several urinary issues as a result also.

@myash How are your symptoms? I'm just starting my 2nd month on Orgovyx and the only side effect so far is loss of libido on week 3. My oncologist said that we would see if I could be off Orgovyx after 8 months or a year. I was Gleason 7 (3+4), positive on 8 of 14 cores, PSA 10.06

Hi, I just started my Orgovyx three days ago. Probably too early for any symptoms. I as taking it in the morning but my times are too inconsistent so I am thinking about switching to late night. How long before I start getting symptoms? Thanks

My husband has been on Orgovyx for a year, with no side effects. Prior to that time, he had 4 monthly degarelix injections.
I see the advantage of Orgovyx as being a GnRH antagonist and fewer deleterious cardiac effects associated with the agonists, like Lupron.
Most of the side effects some men experience are related to the low testosterone, and would be present no matter the method for lowering T.
The other advantage is for those men who might not be on ADT forever. Rapid testosterone response upon discontinuing Orgovyx makes that a more attractive alternative.
Lastly, the convenience of taking a pill at home vs the monthly injections of the only other currently available antagonist made this an attractive option for us.

Yes I have spoken to both the pharm. and doctor. I have been told that muscle and joint pain occurs in 30% of people on orgovyx. The tingling, I was told is probably due to the 28 radiation therapy treatment because it can cause "radiation-induced neuropathy," The tingling goes away after a few steps...not so bad. Search muscle pain with orgovyx.

I am 2 months post Orgovyx & Zytiga and fortunate to say my testosterone has almost risen to my levels before I began treatment. I’m at 550ng and I started at 633. I can feel that my strength has significantly increased and my doctor commented that you’re living the benefits of it vs Lupron and others. At the age of 70, the return of testosterone is probably more noticeable than had I been younger. Most importantly my PSA in these early days has remained undetectable. Wishes that everyone has a soft landing such as mine.

Yup, sounds about right….add all that to a raging appetite and a craving for sweets which I never had.
I was on it for 6 months, exercised, worked in the yard, no weight gain, etc….but this first month off of it has been the worst! Age 70 - No energy, extreme fatigue and can’t push thru it to work out like I did before; even gained a few pounds - less than 5 but still….
So I am hoping it’s some sort if cumulative effect that’s finally hitting me now and will soon reverse as my T rises. Hang in there mccann, gettin old ain’t for sissies and ADT is no picnic!😩
