Biopsy showed no cancer: Thanks to all for helping me through it

Posted by jnj @jnj, Feb 10 2:24pm

I have been on this site and not knowing what to expect. I was scared and everyone stated that just because the MRI showed something did not mean cancer. I did the biopsy and everything showed no cancer. I want to thank all who helped me and i am glad this site is here take care everyone and God bless.

It's good to hear that your biopsy was negative. For that extra last bit of assurance that you don't have prostate cancer, consider using the EpiSwitch blood test here https://www.94percent.com/

This is wonderful news and I now am happy for you to leave our club hopefully forever. Nothing personal. 😂

My husband’s test came back from path with atypical cells. I’m a nurse and wanted clarification on the “atypical”. His urologist said don’t worry. That didn’t set with me. I called Moffitt Cancer Center and had the path slides, MRI, PSAs, Dr’s notes sent to them then they made a telehealth visit with my husband. They changed his diagnosis from Atypical cells to cancer. They saw cancer on the path slides, 3+3 so basically we just do active observation which steps up the frequency of PSA, and another MRI and biopsy. So the tracking is more timely. I don’t know where your slides were read but if there were atypical cells I would get a consult. Just my opinion. I wish you well.

Congratulations! Question: What prompted the biopsy...elevated PSA (if so what was your value?), and/or suspicious Digital Rectal Exam, and/or difficulties with urination? Without knowing what your PSA test value was, I would "hope" that it was not elevated. If it was, then I hope you are already scheduled to have a follow-up PSA in 6 months. Good luck to you...keep us informed with a summary of the past with each new updated post.
