Testicular dislocation
Hello everyone reading this, I wanted to ask the following:
Six years ago I got hit in the testicles and one got stuck on my pelvis, I got scared and managed to send it back to the scrotum, but I have the feeling it stayed in a higher position than it was before.
These days I had Epydidimitis wich I treated with my doctor and read about testicular torsion and got super scared. Is it possible that due to the event that happened six years ago I could get a torsion?.
I'm really scared about what I read, and my urologist haven't given me an answer like yes or no.
Thanks for your time reading and I hope you are living well and happily.
I wish you all the best.

Hello @apm, Welcome to Connect. I'm not a medical professional and have no medical training but from what I've read it's not really clear what causes testicular torsion. Mayo Clinic has some information on the condition here:
-- Testicular torsion - Symptoms & causes:
https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/testicular-torsion/symptoms-causes/syc-20378270
You mentioned that your urologist hasn't given you an answer like yes or no. Maybe that is because there isn't a yes or no answer. Do you have any of the symptoms of testicular torsion?

1 ReactionHello John, thanks for replying.
I've read the information Mayo Clinic has published about the subject and the only symptom that I might have is "A testicle that's positioned higher than normal or at an unusual angle".
Yesterday I was checked again and the doctor told me it's a very rare condition to happen at my age and that I'm just fine.
He did detect that the pain I was feeling was located at the perineum, so next week I'm having a magnetic resonance to see what might be causing it.
I also want to say that since yesterday I was feeling a lot better, most of it must have been because of how scared I was after reading about torsions.
If I learn anything new, I'll keep writing since it may help someone else.
Thanks once again, and I hope you keep doing well.

2 ReactionsWe/all men have one testicle higher than the other. This is how they fit together in the scrotum at any given moment.
