Terrible itching after shower

I have polycythemia and had terrible itching and hives after a shower or a swim in fresh water. I solved this problem by taking long (20-30 minutes) baths in a bath tub, hot tub or thermal springs. It works for me

Otc allergy pill taken 30 min before shower or bath works too.
