Surgery for Osteoporosis
Have there been any surgery techniques to correct osteoporosis. I see so many amazing happenings yet nothing for osteoporosis. Is it because we are old and don’t matter anymore?

Thank you for your support. I am trying to push myself more. Got to keep trying.
After menopause women are at a higher risk for osteoporosis. My gyn was the one who had me take xrays that revealed I had osteoporosis. I had a sit down job so that made my risk higher. But I don't drive so I have to do lots of walking. Walking is the best
I had a sit-down job and drove to and from work an hour, but I also used to walk lots.
I cannot agree with you more. I walk 2 miles daily without fail and it’s a great pain reliever too.
I just went to Mayo for a broken tibia because of osteoporosis. I am taking monthly infusions. I am in a wheelchair, but I am going to a physical therapy which has a special machine called a alterG treadmill. It lets you walk with only 10 percent of your weight. I also am going to swimming pool to do exercises that the physical therapist gave me.
I am so sorry for how you feel. It is so difficult with pain. Hope your pain gets better!
Thanks. I will look into that treadmill.
