Supplement combination/effectiveness
Ergomax brand PEA was working so well after 9 weeks of 1200 mg. Per day, thought I was 'cured'. Pain and burning was rare and brief! Then…it comes back. Who would one go to in order to find out if supplements are cancelling each other, overkill in combination taken etc.? I take alpha lipoic acid in the R-ala form, acetyl L carnitine, turmeric and B12. Continuing with PEA since I stocked up! Medical doctors? doubt it, health food stores? Probably sell you more stuff! How do you find a chemist or biologist perhaps? Thanks for any advice.

@rwinney Yes. For me, a large part of the time, the daily pain is just beyond comprehension. Don't know how to cope, what to do, what to take, how to behave, I could go on and on. But today, was reefer. That's it. Last resort. Save it for when I just can't cope. Today I cant…..Lori Renee
I hope tomorrow finds you with some relief and let up, with a better frame of mind. These types of awful days are taxing.

This may help with clarification on Acrtyl L Carnatine
@rwinney
Thanks for the clarification. "Acetyl-L-carnitine might not reduce neuropathy associated with chemotherapy in cancer patients. In fact, it might make it worse." Probably why I had it on my "not recommended" list.
@rwinney thanks for the good wishes. Today is better than yesterday, thank God. I thought my feet would have flames coming out of them yesterday. But today, it is not perfect, but better. My goodness, what we to through. Thanks again. Lori
I have been taking 800mg (two 400mg capsules) of PEA for about a month. Is it better to spread it out over the day (one in morning and one in evening) or should I just take it all at once? I have been taking it all at once in the morning and I seem to feel better in the morning, and then it gets worse in the afternoon and evening.
@cwallen9…I take 1200 mg PEA, 400 mg 3 times/day (the 100 percent PEA capsules with no additives) made by Vitalize in the Netherlands. Helps some. Also use 2 percent PEA topical 3 times/day (called Soothamide). Still have some problems wearing shoes though. This is mostly due to calluses on my feet that burn the most. Pam
I take 3x day with food. Used to think it worked, but it took 8-9 weeks. Lately it doesn’t seem to 🤷🏼♀️
Forgot, it’s ergomax brand 400 mg. (Amazon)
Me again… I found the Vitalize brand on their own website, Amazon, and also Walmart.com. Much more reasonably priced than ergomax. I was unable to see photos of the sides and back of the box and there are no reviews which is concerning. Their website does suggest taking three capsules with plenty of water and food three times a day then you can cut back to twice a day. I would love to be able to see the back of the box, I think it’s important to see where it is actually sourced from, claims it is the Netherlands in Amazon questions/answers section though. Research continues!
@wisfloj…Pam here. I am posting below what is on, in this case, the side of the box: Composition: Palmitoylethanolmide (PEA); Dosage 1200 MG; Ingredients: Palmitoylethanolmide (PEA); Capsule: Vegetarian (HPMC); * daily dose 3 capsules (per capsule 400 mg). Usage: Take one capsule with water 3 times/day; Store in a dark and dry place at room temperature (15-25 deg C); 100 % pure in case of sensitivity to ingredients. Then the usual warning to consult your doctor first before using. At the bottom it says "Made in Holland". On the other side of the box it says is another description of the product with manufacturing standards. Distribution is by Vitalize NL (Netherlands) info @vilalize,com. At the bottom it indicates distribution is in the UK by Vitalize (there apparently UK distribution site in Hampton England) and an address and telephone # and email address for the distributor; info@hamptonbrands.com. I guess you could send an email to the maker and/or distributor of the product to get more information. Batch # and expiration date on the bottom of package. Just the UPC # on the back of package and a note about other products available through the company: i.e. B12 Energy, B-complex active, Vitamin D bisic and Magnesium Muscle Complex. I hope this helps. Pam
