Suggestions please
I had back fusion surgery on my lower back. For 8 months I was in such horrible pain. All I could do is lay in bed and cry. So many trips to the ER, test, X-ray, MRI’s and to different doctors. Just to be told it was all in my head. Then a new doctor in another big city found something. It was a surgical sponge!! Because of scar tissue is attached to the spinal cord. He removed as much as he could. Said I would have pain the rest of my life. A year later they had to remove the rods and screws. I could feel them rubbing against my back. They tried injections that didn’t work. Now they are wanting me to get a SPS and I’m scared to death to have another procedure done on my back. Plus, I have not heard anything good about SPS. They are saying it’s my only option. I keep asking about the inflammation that’s causing the pain. No one seems to want to address the swelling. I’ve done research on my own about anti-inflammatory foods and vitamins. Changed my whole diet around so I’m only eating something that will help keep the swelling down. I take a lot of vitamins that I spread out throughout the day. I still have flare ups but I’m not in as much pain as I was in before. I don’t know what to do about the SPS. I really don’t want it. I feel like I’m being pushed into doing some thing I don’t want to do. Looking for suggestions, please.

TAZZ, for now Pls DON'T be pressured...I was into a SCS...it was in for 11 months, my life become hell on Earth. Its just been removed , I have serious complications. I am learning the hard way, the more Drs mess with your body, the worse you may be. If procedures are done that dont involve nerve pain maybe they go well...
I am deeply traumatized by what I have been thru and like you need therapy.
Pls try everything holistic and give yourself a year to recover. Im trying to find a place that do laser therapy for scar tissue.
I too have spent the last year in bed from Stimulator side effects/ pain.
Im working with a biochemist to try to reduce my nerve pain. The one thing that helps the most is being in nature...its scientifically proven to help calm/ reset our nerves.
Only you can decide on the surgery but after what I have been through I wouldn't do it for a long time, try to recover.
Do you meditate, its hard but proven to help...Joe Dispenza.
Gd luck, be brave you're not alone....we as a community are here for you, sometimes i just want to give up tho". ❤️
