Hi @sofaramnotdead,
It sounds like you received some test results before meeting with your doctor to discuss what this means for you.
According to Mayo Clinic Laboratories:
"Monitoring antiresorptive therapies (eg, bisphosphonates and hormone replacement therapy) in postmenopausal women treated for osteoporosis and individuals diagnosed with osteopenia
It is an adjunct in the diagnosis of medical conditions associated with increased bone turnover."
"Elevated levels of beta-C-terminal telopeptide (CTx) indicate increased bone resorption. Increased levels are associated with osteoporosis, osteopenia, Paget disease, hyperthyroidism, and hyperparathyroidism."

Are you concerned about a symptom or new medical condition? When do you meet with your doctor to discuss this?
I still do not know what it is! Sammylou@
CTX is a marker of osteoclast activity and is used to assess the level of bone resorption. The markers are used to evaluate and provide treatment to those with metabolic bone diseases like osteoporosis.
(Osteoclasts are cells that degrade bone during vs Osteoblasts which are cells that form new bones and grow and heal existing bones).
It sounds like you know a lot about these labs. What I don’t understand is the relevance to the Kidney & Bladder group?
The original question was:
"What does this mean? Beta-CrossLaps (B-CTx), S pg/mL ....74Low"
I didn't notice that is was under Kidney and Bladder.
