Struggling with life
I am a 33 year old male experiencing the most difficult time of my life ever since being involved in an accident. I am suffering from what feels like nerve issues on top of left sided chest pains. I have managed to get my anxiety under control as I was very anxious at the beginning but the symptoms are ongoing. From tingling on my face to twitching of my feet. From hot/cold sensations on legs to physical pains (burning and stinging) of the limbs. I really do not know how I will cope with life as I have not been able to work for months now and I have two children aged 1 and 3. I have visited a spinal surgeon who has arranged an MRI of my neck and I wonder if any nerve issues will be spotted on it such as pinched nerve

Gabapentin seemed to cause the burning in my mouth to get more intense where my prescription strength was increasing which I did not want to do. I believe I started at 100 mg. Dr switched me to pregabalin. With pregabalin I had sensations on different parts of body scalp…weird sensations! I kept taking the pregabalin at 25mg 4 times daily. Dr increased dosage to 75 mg and I started having body jerks constantly so dropped back to 25mg. I took hydrocone/act 10/325 for the hot burning mouth pain as well. Tried oxcarbazine(sp?) and broke out in rash all over body. I tried ampitripline could not see it did much for burning. There was something else I tried can’t remember name. I never even considered I might be having acid reflux. My biopsy report description of the gastritis with hyperplasia tissue description can be bile reflux and ppi meds do not work on bile reflux. Could be why I notice sucralfate liquid that coats esophagus and stomach working so well against burning as sucralfate is a treatment for bile reflux.
I would not cause the body sensations exactly burning or exactly itchy but the sensations were very strange.
Baclofen 5 mg 4 times daily is a muscle relaxer and also gives a little pain relief. It’s also calming. I take this.
Read about baclofen…. I think it might be a skeleton relaxer
Baclofen is a muscle relaxer.
Medications can cause those symptoms.
“Cope with life” you say. I believe we are here in place to do things. For you it seems clear you have a 1 and 3 year old. You will cope, I’m sure. Help will be there when you feel you cannot cope. You are needed.
