Stomach problem, capsule endoscopy recommended

I had surgery for pyloric stenosis when I was born now I'm 81 yrs old
and I have some problems with my stomach I need help.
I had all the tests on my stomach at Steinberg Diagnostic in Las Vegas and I can supply you with all the results. One of my Doctors suggested that I should contact Mayo Clinic for "Capsule endoscopy". I read Mayo overview and I was impressed.
I'm not a doctor but I know how I feel.

I'm with you on knowing how I feel and not being a doctor. You mentioned one of your doctors suggested contacting Mayo Clinic for a capsule endoscopy. Sometimes it helps to get an appointment when a doctor makes a referral for you. Do you think your doctor can make a referral to Mayo Clinic for you?

Yes , several Doctors want me to do it. and you will hear from me.
I'm a recording engineer and I record my stomach every day and I let my Dr's
listen to it, its not normal.

I had a capsule endoscopy at my GI .. for me results were normal so again dx with IBS .. you don’t have to go to Mayo unless you prefer.

Good morning
I am a nurse and so disappointed and saddened by lack of follow up , care , on a timely manner if any. We always make a follow call within 24 hours. A friend just saw a specialist and she made 3 calls asking for answers and after a month still no call . Over worked I understand but then cap your patients !!!
Keep being your best advisor! It’s the only way!! Keep asking questions and read all you can on the proper sites!! Try to see dr in a teaching facility they seem to know the most! If not happy with that dr move on there are plenty to choose from just a hassle getting in and repeating all information again but worth it when you find one that cares and will help you! The nurse can make or break that experience and sometimes even the front desk! They shouldn’t be working there but doing everything possible for the patient !!
