Stomach pain

Posted by Berge Markarian @bergem, May 23, 2017

I was diagnosed with cholecystitis, underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy 3 weeks ago, but still have pain, which wakes me up any time after 2 am even though I eat @ 7 pm , on Mediterranean diet. I do not eat spicy, fried food, no alcohol. CT enterogarphy (small bowel X rays) was normal, Upper endoscopy showed only gastritis but omeprazole pepcid etc do not help

Hello @bergem,

Welcome to Connect; I'm sorry to learn that you are still in pain. Here is some information from Mayo Clinic about cholecystitis: http://mayocl.in/1ogczjL and diet after gallbladder removal, (although it seems you are following an excellent diet): http://mayocl.in/1MpghEK

@alina151, you recently mentioned having your gallbladder removed; do you have some insight for Berge?

@bergem, gastritis can also cause quite a bit of discomfort; have you spoken to your doctor about this?
