Stereotactic Biopsy
I found out I have a brain tumor in February of this year. It’s been a journey because it’s near my amygdala and brain stem. We finally decided it’s time to get a piece in a few days and they are doing a stereotactic biopsy to get a piece of it. I know the risks we discussed are minimal, but being a mom of some pretty young kids I can’t help but be nervous and scared. Anyone else go through this? What was it like? They are sticking the needle right through my cerebellum.

My husband had a stereotactic biopsy also. He was old- 86, but he sailed through the surgery without complications and recovered well from the procedure. Good luck!

2 ReactionsThe procedure was a success! The recovery is a little more challenging than we expected. I need a walker for my balance but hoping that will get better over the next few days.
