My husband has had 6 Keytruda infusion every 3 weeks thus far. He will be on it 1-2 years per Oncologist. He does get fatigue for several days after infusion (make sue to eat or drink protein), and experiences gi distress for a week. But all this is doable.
I've been on keytruda once every 6 weeks since July. Only minor side effects. A rash that was handled by my dermatologist and bouts of extreme fatigue. Not all the time but just for a couple of hours occasionally. Other than that, it's been ok.
I am on Keytruda and Alimta every 3 weeks. I am on round 30 now. I have had lots of side effects but they never last long and they are manageable. The recurring ones are fatigue and some mild bone aches. My side effects usually hit on day 4 and last 3 or 4 days. I have my infusion set up that most of my bad days will be on the weekend and I can just sleep if I want to. Other side effects have been, shortness of breath, hands cold, ears ring, sea legs, feet swollen. Now those have maybe happened 2x in the last 2 years. Nothing extremely bad to where I would want to stop taking it. I did end up in the hospital and thought for sure it was pneumonitis (lots of others have reported getting this) from the Keytruda but the Dr's said that it was not so we have continued using it. I have had clear scans for 2 years because of it.
