Starting Chemo Tomorrow TC Regimen
I have 4 rounds of TC. How likely am I to get stomach cramps? I am not worried about the nausea since I have meds for that. My mom did one round of Chemo and I believe stopped because of the stomach cramps. What is the best way to deal with them? As previously stated in another thread I do not like water very much. I read that juice counts but that Apple and Grape juice should be watered down? Why is that? I know I have to stay hydrated and I will flavor my water. Keep me in your thoughts that I can make it through this. I do realize I'm blessed that I do not have to take the Red Devil chemo and that my situation could be so much worse. It's still scary though.

I had 4 rounds of TC also, here is what I did.
Took probiotics daily, to keep my gut balanced.
Drank water with electrolytes. I could not drink coffee due to interaction with chemo. No citrus drinks or fruits.
Took B12 to offset the coffee.
Slept alot but was able to work from home.
Had treatment on a Thursday, crashed Friday, Sat and Sun. My Monday was feeling better.
What I wished I had done to reduce muscle loss, take a powder with water called Best Aminos. I was mostly indoors, sat and did not walk so lost stamina and muscle.
Never took meds for nausea. Didn’t have stomach cramps but had to be self aware, slowed down. I live alone so didn’t have a caregiver nor need to run around.
Hope this is helpful.

4 rounds of TC
for dry eyes did Relief eye drops 2 drops each eye morning/night. with teeth brushing to remember
hydrating shampoo for scalp and new hair coming in works great Paul Mitchell
Real sea sponge for dry skin everywhere. This feels so good for flaky body skin
electrolytes propel come in flavors breaks the monotony of water. But, still drink lots of water as Chemo is fluids and when you stop you have to maintain a good level of fluids still.
fruit smoothies for lunch, and energy boost. Antioxidants, blueberries, strawberries and powdered peanut butter and proteins, shaken not stirred!
Lidocaine patches for painful areas, over the counter 4% , just too bad not larger patches, but works great for pain in all kinds of spots, can't wear to bed
Hope this helps ! God be with us All!!

Finished chemo in 2023, now taking Tamoxifen. It has its side effects but manageable.
