Stage 4 prostate Cancer: Firmagon + Abiraterone?

I have a question - my brother has stage 4 prostate cancer metastasis to bones. He has had 10 sessions of radiation followed now with Firmagon Shot. He has had 3 of these shots his Psa was at 1000 and now is at 2.7. His onocologist would like him to start next month on Abiraterone tablets with Prednisone or his other option is Enzalutamide tablets. He will continue with the Firmagon shot monthly in his stomach. The question we are asking is the Firmagon shot sufficient at this time if his PSA keeps dropping? Why does he have to start the other hormone therapy tablets at this time. If anyone has had experience and advice on the side effects, how long will these drugs work, please let us know. Thank you

What’s the advantage of going to a Mayo Clinic? I’ve got Prostate stage 4. Which has metastasized to Pelvic Bone only. But im afraid of a blast to other locations. My PSA was 181 but now constant at .01. I take xtandi pills and get a shot every 3 months, Is there any chance of attacking these cells in the pelvic region more aggressivly. My oncologist will just increase dosage of pills etc if my PSA increases.???

After a year Xtandi failed as did Radium 223 after a second year Chemo gave me fluid on the lungs so had to stop C was killed in many areas according to nuclear bone scan and CTPET

Now in T 10 a small spot May go on Zytiga in Jan OR LU 177 now being approved in Ontario
