Stage 4 colorectal cancer to the thryoid?!?
In August I showed a 1 cm nodule on my thyroid that was unremarkable. In Decembers CT they said it was hypoattenuating. Has anyone had Colon Cancer go into their thyroid? I am terribly nervous about this. Is it worse than going to other organs?

Have they done a needle biopsy of your thyroid nodule ? I have one which was negative for cancer in Jan 2025 but I had a colon cancer positive in June 2025 which has been removed. If I hadn't have had the biopsy of thyroid I would be worried . Ask your endocrinologist, please.

4 Reactions@musicjewishcarp2008 I have chemo Friday and will insist on getting one along with an ultrasound. Do they say you will be ok? Is it an endocrinologist that would operate if necessary?
@myjiggers1, do you find out more about the thyroid nodule? Is it benign or cancerous? Is it related to the colorectal cancer?
My oncologist said she wasn’t concerned because there was no growth and we would do an ultrasound in a few months. I think she wants to wait and see if the next CT scan shows the same because she said the CT stuff they inject can sometimes cause that. I just got Covid as well so yayyy. On the plus side my chemo ball malfunctioned and only dispensed 1/4 of the 5FU and she said that was probably a Godsend because I couldn’t get the bone marrow booster for my wbc levels. Its a rough bout.
