Spinning feeling after multiple car accidents

Posted by alphabetagamma @alphabetagamma, Aug 9 12:21pm

I was in Multiple Car Accidents thinking one of my Discs were going to end up in my Spinal Cord.

Has anyone experienced a Spinning Feeling, as if you can feel the worlds tilt or sway.

I think I have a head bopping motion that would probably affect me using a Neck brace.

Sounds like Vertigo or Labyrinthitis, but I'm not a doctor so it's only a guess.

Dear @alphabetagamma
Having a “Multiple Car Accident” seems bad, but thankfully you are here.

Yes, I would talk to a doctor of this kind of an accident. Yes, you may need a Professional lawyer, too. Talk to your doctor could check your neck, brain back areas just testing of problems like this.

Ive been there and for the last 12 years I became aTBI member.

Thx,

Hi, @alphabetagamma - although this member was talking about a headache condition, they may have some ideas for you related to dealing with a spinning feeling @magwil01. @rowun4 and @jenniferhunter also may have some thoughts for you about the spinning feeling after multiple car accidents.

@alphabetagamma Yes, I have experienced this spinning feeling because of spine problems caused by a whiplash years earlier. My C5 C6 disc was collapsing and causing some compression of the spinal cord. I also had muscle spasms that were moving and twisting the vertebrae. When I was in that altered alignment, if I looked upward, it started the vertigo spinning. My physical therapist could stop the spinning by correcting the alignment by working on the spasms. The reason behind this is because the vertebral arteries run inside the cervical vertebrae which is part of the blood supply for the brain. If that gets stretched or kinked by a spasm, it alters the blood supply. There are other arteries to the brain in other areas. A condition like thoracic outlet syndrome (which I have) can also limit blood supply to the brain when the patient turns their head and some people can pass out with this condition and position.

Have you had a physical therapy evaluation for spine vertebrae and skull alignment?
