Spine cord in lumbar area

Posted by wolfsbane2090 @wolfsbane2090, Apr 28, 2023

Im wondering is it normal for my spinal cords to be visible in the lumbar area ? And i have noticed at the end of the day this specific cord tends to be painful and adds pressure to the rest of my back

I have always had a boney spine. I don't think it's normal for everyone but it is for me.

Do you mean your spinal vertebrae? The spinal cord sits within the vertebral column, well-protected by the bones of the spinal column. It's not unusual for the bones to be seen just under the skin, especially in people who are on the thinner side. Less frequent in the lumbar regiion than in the thoracic region. What think ye, fellow commenters?
