Spinal osteoporosis after 10 months on ADT
I went on ADT (Lupron + Nubeqa) in September 2025, 9 months after my prostatectomy and subsequent rise in PSA. (I also had radiation therapy in Nov.-Dec. 2025.) My DXA bone scan a few days ago shows that my spine now has osteoporosis, and I wanted to ask others here who have had similar experience what you've done about it, and how it has gone. I still have 14 months left on my ADT therapy plan, and will be seeing my oncologist tomorrow to discuss all this.

@jbristow3682 Good luck with your treatment! I never heard about the magnesium, though I do take 500 mg calcium and 2000 IU vitamin D.
@drew2021 Magnesium was suggested for the side effects of ADT - like the ability to relax and sleep at night before going to bed, as well as overall support of my body to handle ADT. I haven't noticed much difference with my sleep yet. I also take the same dosages of calcium and vitamin D for bone health as you do.
It now takes me 5 minutes to load up my pill case every weekend!
I told my wife that you know how old a tree was by the number of rings in the trunk...and for us old guys it's how many pills we load into our pill case!! lol.
Take care - and best of luck.
