Spinal Cord Stimulator Lead Change

Has anyone had their leads changed for their spinal cord stimulator due to an impedance?
I’ve ruptured my Achilles Tendon and cannot have an MRI because we can’t get my device into MRI mode due to the impedance. The only way to clear the impedance is to have new leads put in and the old ones taken out. Then I can have the MRI.

I've had my leads changed, but it was due to lead fracture. With the impedance issue for your leads, is the system still functioning? Your biggest challenge may be insurance pre-approval.

It’s functioning at full capacity but because of the impedance, it won’t go into mri mode.

They did an CT scan Arthrography with contrast prior to my shoulder surgery. The doctor was not comfortable ordering an MRI. Maybe they can do that for you in the meantime.

I would have gladly done a CT Scan but can’t have the contrast as I’m highly allergic to it. But the Dr said it wouldn’t give him the results he needs.
