Specialist Myopia

I am new to this, so I hope I am posting to the right place. My GP of 40 years has been replaced by a less-experienced model who refers me to a different specialist each time I see her. I am losing track of who I am seeing and for what! Earache, runny nose, cough that won't go away? ENT dx = silent reflux. Pain to the touch/red bruising in shin following motor cycle accident in 2013, but still present? Orthopod dx = Will dissipate. Elevated RBC & WBC? Hematologist dx = nothing to worry about. Stop smoking the 3-4 daily cigarettes. Just donate blood regularly. Intense joint pain? Orthpod dx = Let's replace the 2nd hip (first replacement 2024), then we'll look at the other joints. Rhematologist = arthritis is common. Lower back pain? Neurosurgeon = spinal fusion (2023) won't necessarily help with pain (it didn't), but we'll try it. Massively itchy patches, particularly on hands? Dermatologist = just dry skin. Now, the feeling that my skin is burning from the inside and any pressure from touch, including trying to sleep by lying down, just results in more pain; headaches; occular migraines; no appetite; little ability to focus; pain intensifying daily; loss of balance - Neurology appointment in May. Now, my left, replaced, hip hurts, too. Can anyone make a connection between at least some of these? I am so tired of hurting and new symptoms appearing!

Margaret08 you didn't say why you had the spinal fusion or the hip replacements? You do say you have arthritis which never really gets better and we hopefully learn to manage the pain. If you have arthritis your ongoing complaints of pain makes perfectly good sense. I have osteoarthritis of my spine and I don't presume it will get better but only worse over time. I see a pain specialists every 3 months who refills my buprenorphine patch's, baclofen and oxycodone prescriptions. These along with exercise and daily 2 mile walks helps keep my pain relatively controlled. You should consider adding physical therapy to your regime to aide in pain reduction too. Hope you find some answers!
