Southeast Michigan Endocrinologist Recommendation for Osteoporosis

Hello! I’m having trouble finding a doctor that is truly knowledgable in osteoporosis treatment. I am in SE Michigan (Hartland) looking for a great endocrinologist near Ann Arbor, Novi, Brighton and surrounding areas. Do any of my neighbors have a great doctor? Thanks

I live in Southfield, Michigan which is close to you. So far I have had the best results with Dr. Samina Syed MD, Endocrinologist. She is very professional, and kind, and listens well and has helped me the most. She is in Farmington Hills, MI. I think she certainly will help you. She is also open to having you get a second opinion if you want to. Good Luck

I had the same problem. Very few Endos specialize in osteoporosis and what’s frustrating is that many scheduling personal will assure you that ALL the docs specialize in osteoporosis.

Here’s the filter I use. Do they order a trabecular bone score and do a vertebral fracture assessment

I live in Hamburg, near Ann Arbor and I see an Endocrinologist in Ann Arbor, Dr. Chukwu of Trinity Health. I’ve only been seeing her for about a year, but I like her and she is vey knowledgeable regarding osteoporosis. She put me on Fosamax and so far I’m doing very good with no side effects.
