Anyone had Gemzar (gemcitabine) to treat soft tissue sarcoma?
I’ve been reading about a drug that is being used to treat different types of sarcoma cancer. I currently have soft tissue sarcoma in my lower left leg. The drug I’m referring to is called Gemzar, and I think it’s a type of chemotherapy. I wanted to reach out and see if anybody has had any success with Gemzar for the treatment of STS, I’ve had three recurrences followed by surgery and don’t want any more surgery hopefully.

Interesting, I would also like to know more about it.

Roger, has Gemzar been recommended as a treatment for you?
No
@colleenyoung
No it has not been recommended for me at Mayo, I read about it online as a possible treatment for soft tissue sarcoma. MD Anderson was using it for some STS trail cases.
