Smoldering WM- Iron and HGB drop very low- not on treatment

Hello---looking for any information/experience before my ONC appointment Monday. I'm smoldering WM but just had my labs prior to my appointment on Monday, and in addition to the regular labs that were pretty consistent with slow changes, my HGB was so low that I had to go back for Iron testing and it was very, very low. Talked to the nurse on Friday and she said they'll discuss on Monday but I may need iron infusion, and she'll probably ask me to get some more testing to see if something is going on with internal bleeding. I have had symptoms of low iron (hair loss, ear whooshing noises, chest pain) but I thought it may have been stress related as my Dad recently passed due to bladder cancer. He was 92 and had an amazing life, so he was blessed. Has anyone else with WM had iron issues? Is this common? Would help hearing everyone else's experience. Thanks!
