Okay it’s dr klinkner. Mayo did a webinar with her on it. I would call for her directly. Otherwise you may get the run around. Very few folks are familiar with this

Hello @bobsacamento23, Welcome to Connect. Thank you for sharing about Dr. Klinkner with your reply to @stacey01. Have you been diagnosed with slipping rib syndrome?

Here is a link to what I think you mentioned would be helpful.

No not formally. I need to schedule a consultation. Initially thought it was likely something else because most docs have never heard of slipping rib syndrome and don’t believe it exists. Anyhow I have a lot of the issues that accompany it (clicking sensation in ribs, the chronic rib pain, and trauma to the chest that I can directly point it to easily). I have been a part of that Facebook group for 3 years now though and it’s really grown dramatically. I think this is just really underdiagnosed

Yes I would definitely do that and join the Facebook group if you can/want. A lot of folks on there with a ton of experience. And we have a lot of info at this point. Really super helpful. Wishing you luck!!!!

No, my daughter only has pain in the lower rib area. Just had an EKG and chest X-ray. Both were normal.

Yea generally the tests won’t pick up cartilege damage or so I have been told. Have to meet with a doctor and they have do specialized tests (dynamic ultrasound, and a special form of ct scan. Most docs are unfamiliar. Check out the chest wall injury society podcast with dr. Hansen. He talks about slipped ribs in some detail

Thank you. Yes, those test were completed to rule out other things according to the doc. I asked for a ct scan but was told to wait and see what the doc at Mayo advises. The referral to Mayo is in process. Hope to have a consultation with Dr. Denise Klinkner.

I have had a cat scan. The only relief I get is when the chiropractor adjusts it.
