Skin turns red and itchy does anyone know why?

Been dealing with my skin getting this itchy rash everyday for all most month and half. Comes and goes. Been taking benadryl once a day which helps keep it away but not completely.

Haven't been using or eating anything new.

It comes on my arms sometimes but most frequently around my neck, shoulders and upper chest area

It's really annoying and I don't know why. Thought it was eczema so I been taking better care of my skin using sensitive skin products soap, lotion and detergent for clothing. Still getting it.

I went to my doctor and explain all that and how long I been dealing with it and they told me it's probably allergies. I have been put on two meds to try out but I want to also get some feedback which brings me here from anyone that might know what this is or going through similar
Please reply and thank you

I’m no expert or medical professional, but I get a similar type red rash occasionally. I’ve been told it’s either dermatitis or anxiety. I never know if it’s an allergy or my anxiety, since I do have a lot of it. I’ve been in treatment for anxiety since last year, and it’s better, but I still get it at times. Mine really itches a lot, so I get scratches on my skin. Avoiding stress helps me as well as using Cera Ve Body Cream, psoriasis strength. I also have psoriasis, but it looks different from my red rash. The psoriasis is mainly on my scalp and is intermittent. I use clobetasol for the psoriasis.

Hello

Not a dermatologist just my primary care doctor.
I will see a dermatologist if it doesn't get better. Thanks for giving feedback

Hey There! It looks like you have very sensitive skin. I can relate! Have you been to a Dermatologist?

Have you changed detergents? Added a fabric softener? Dryer Sheets? Different bar soap for bathing? Different lotion? House hold cleaner?

Sometimes, it doesn't take much to cause a skin flare. Have you tried using Benadryl Cream along with the Benadryl? Have you tried bathing in Aveeno bath soak? It's wonderful for any type of itching or rash. Sometimes a cool wash cloth on the part that's turned red or itching helps.

I can go outside and pull a few weeds in the yard and I come in itching and have red splotches. I take a shower immediately. Every bug in the yard finds me too....I guess its because I'm so sweet! LOL.

Praying you get answers & relief. Hugs & Blessings....
