Sinus issues and allergies after COVID

Has anyone else suffered from sinus problems and allergies since having COVID? My husband never had problems with either until he had COVID and was treated with Paxlovid.

I've had sinus issues since contracting Covid, and now have long haul. This is not going to be a popular answer, but I have autoimmune issues and my specialist (doc) put me on an antibiotic for a long time, and it was heaven. (Like, months and months.) Took me off, it was back. She put me back on and symptoms leave.
I have enough bad health junk I'm dealing with, she figures until my body can fight it, I get an antibio boost.

car0, I totally get this. I feel so much better.....all over when I am on antibiotic because it reduces inflammation and the sinus infection & Fibromyalgia pain.

I know you understand the downside of being on longterm antibiotics, so I won't go there, again, I understand.

Blessings & Prayers to you.

Ha ha-- THANK you for your restraint!
(Seriously tho--if long term antibio use effects were the only challenge I was facing? I'd do handsprings of glee......)

Neil med sinus rinse with a 1/4 teaspoon of white vinegar. Got bacterial meningitis of my brain from chronic sinusitis in 2014. Last sinus infection was 2015. This sinus rinse will reduce bacterial viral fungal loads. Prescribed by the ENT doctor who entered my OR right after the neurosurgeon completed a cranitomy to remove abcess in my left temporal lobe. 30 day hospitalization. Intubated medically induced coma septic multi organ failure. I was coded. I was gone.

Horribly!!
every sing day since I was diagnosed with LC years ago, every single day all at once within minutes out of nowhere, I get fully congested with extreme pressure, extreme migraine, dizzy and lightheaded, heart racing, brain fog, issue breathing, sick to my stomach, sometime vomiting and can't hardly stand up.
It's awful!
But outside of that everyday, I have daily sinus and allergy issues that I did not ever have prior to this disgusting virus.

I've also tried the long term different antibiotics each a few months at a time and lucky me, no relief. I feel for you with the laundry list of health issues you now suffer with from LC. I'm right there with you. Do you extreme serious pain and if so, how often. The pain stays daily but intensifies every few days. Today I'm not taking any type of medication period for sometime now bc nothing I was given provided any source of relief. The pain keeps me awake as well. It's exhausting. I really need to find better DR.'s possibly out of state that will start with virtual bc I can't travel at this point because I stay so sick. Praying for you

I am thankful to have found this site. I had long covid from July - December of 2025. The congestion and mucus flow was so bad the I got only 2-3 hours of sleep per night, and the same mucus flow all day. I went to the doctor 4 times and tried many things with no success. Then I found this web site. I gleaned the most successful remedies that did not seem too extreme and discussed them with my doctor. I began drinking a cup of Cardamon/Cinnamon/pepper tea, from "The Republic of Tea" company each evening and morning. I also took a 10MG tablet of Amitriptylin and used a NeilMed sinus rinse bottle with NeilMed Sinus Rinse before bed each night. Within 4 days I was sleeping 8 hours per night with very little sinus problem. That was at least 4 weeks ago and I am still doing fine. Hope this helps some of you. Could be a coincidence but I don't think it could hurt.
