single cold toe - what to do?
I have one toe, a big toe on one foot, that feels very cold and uncomfortable, but the toe is warm to the touch with my hands That is, this one toe feels really cold to the point of making it hard to sleep, but when I look at it or touch it with my hands, the toe color is normal, and it feels warm to my hands. The other toes all feel fine. I have never had this before. I have tried magnesium lotion on it and also using the MedMassager, and wearing heavy socks and piling warm blankets on my feet during the night. Would a frankincense cream, or any other type of cream, help with this? Please note that I cannot use NSAIDs. Thank you in advance.

I'd get one of those hand warmer and paste it around the toe at night. If it gets too hot wrap gauze around it first. It could be a beginning neuropathy or arterial spasms. Renauds Syndrome usually presents with a whitened appearance, so I'd guess the spasms. If you aren't irritating the toe with tight shoes, or socks, or with inadequate arch support, also try exercising your toes just to increase circulation. It's funny how the tiniest toe can upend our lives. I hope it goes away.
