Signs and symptoms of Lupus Nephritis

Hello,
I was diagnosed with Lupus about a year ago and really struggling to get it under control. My symptoms started out 5 years ago and became full blown around 2/3 years ago but it took awhile to finally meet the right doctors to diagnose. I am worried about my kidneys since I know it can be a troublesome part of this disease. I’ve noticed over the last year I’ve gotten kidney infections frequently and other things that are kinda alarming to me like coming and going pain if my left/right flank.
I just want to hear from people with Lupus Nephritis and learn how y’all recognized the kidney damage and what to do about it and how often people with lupus develop this complication. Thank you!
