Shortness of breath, fatigue, excessive sweating after showering
I have noticed in the last several weeks that I experience some quite concerning symptoms during and immediately after I shower. Can anyone shed some light on what might be going on or share your experience?
When I shower I find that I become short of breath, or that my chest becomes really tight. It becomes rather difficult for me to take a deep breath. I also start feeling very weak/shaky, almost as if my blood sugar has bottomed out. Then I get EXTREMELY hot and start pouring buckets of sweat.
I literally have to lay down with a damp cloth on my forehead or a fan blowing on me to cool off. Drinking water helps a little, but only just. This is severely debilitating and has caused me to limit showering, which I abhor! Does anyone have any iota what might be going on? I assume it's something with my Autonomic Nervous System since so many different bodily functions are affected. I appreciate any and all insight provided!!

@psnead, One big one with POTS, when you stand up your heart rate needs to go up at least 20 or so points I think. And, the b/P does not drop, if it drops more than 20/10 points that’s orhtostatic hypotension. Read about POTs and OH, both autonomic problems. 👍
