Shock-like pain on back of the head and fatigue

Hi, I feel a shock-like pain in the back of my head, pain on my shoulders and fatigue, pain all over my body and memory issues. What could this be? Or what could be causing it?

How long have you had your symptoms and what tests have you had? When did your symptoms start and did anything happen right before the symptoms started?

You may want a MRI of head/cervical spine to see if anything is compressing nerves and bloodwork to rule out any deficiencies or toxicities and check nerve health via EMGs/nerve conduction studies and small fiber neuropathy skin punch biopsy.

Thank you. I’ve had the symptoms my whole life but they worsened 10 years ago, my dad passed away and then everything worsened but I’ve tried antidepressants and they haven’t worked for me. I got tested about 8 years ago for multiple sclerosis and it came out negative.
I will mention all this to my Dr.

I was diagnosed with Pure Autonomic Failure few years ago. One of the many symptoms is pain on shoulder blades/ neck referred to as “clothes hangar” pain.
Orthostatic Hypotension causing BP to plummet when person stands up causes weakness in legs, fatigue and possible fainting.

Yes, stress and grieving plus depression adds to your many challenges to your overall health and quality of life. I have been on various antidepressants and it is trial and error to get the one(s) and the right dosage. If you live with chronic pain, it is important to take care of your mental health through medication and cognitive behavioral therapy via psychologist. I tried individually and in various combinations of Zoloft, Prozac, Wellbutrin, Cymbalta, etc. Right now, I am taking 150mg Wellbutrin and my doctor just increased it to 300mg yesterday.

Pray that you get help and answers soon. 🙏

Yes, I went to my primary doctor with the symptoms/ was referred to neurology / diagnosed after battery of tests for low BP issues and treated with a medication. I was also sent for diagnostic tests for incontinence and
hoarse-voice which are other symptoms; subsequently for phys therapy sessions to try to retrain symptom patterns along with Urology/ Gynocology visit for further tests and medication.

I don't know what that is, but this much I can say:

that needs to be assessed by a doctor and ASAP.

sorry about the problems
best of luck
take care
