Shingrix reaction and shingles virus three years later

3 years ago I took the first shot of shingrix and my vision became blurry, which ultimately resolved. I went to the eye doctor and she said my eyes looked fine but my doctor advised me not to take the second shot. This past May I got shingles down two dermatomes in my leg. It was horrible. It is August and I have numbness along my leg and in half my foot and it aches. I really don't ever want this virus again or to take antivirals the rest of my life. Do you think I can try the vaccine again. My doctor seems to think I will get shingles again, because my job is stressful.
