Severe tooth pain
I have been dealing with pain in my upper and lower teeth for 1 weeks on one side. The pain is more pronounced on the lower, but they have all been root canaled. I also have facial pain and a frontal headache. I was first put in amoxicillin 500 mg by an urgent care but it did nothing. My PCP put me on Augmentin 2 days ago and I actually feel worse. More congested feeling in my face and more tooth pain with seems to be radiating to one tooth in particular on the bottom. I am unsure what to do…

biblio15, have you been back to the dentist. You could have a crack in the rootless tooth and or decay under the crown. Best not to wait.
I agree, see your dentist or an endodontist. I had an upper back molar that had a crown that became an issue. It never really hurt, just a little sensitive. Have been complaining about 1 sided sinusitis for more than a year. My ENT tried all sorts of things but couldn't fix it. No one even suspected it was my tooth until I developed a sinus tract to the roof of my mouth. The problem couldn't be seen on a sinus CT or dental X-rays. It was found on a cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) by an endodontist. The endodontist has done everything he can to clear the infection and save the tooth to no avail. I'm off to the oral surgeon this week. Your symptoms sound a lot like mine except for the tooth pain. Keep pushing for answers. May want to Google unilateral sinusitis.
Hey there biblio15, Pryaing for you with this pain. I have some thoughts:
1) Have you been to an ENT doctor? They can scope your sinuses and see if you have an infection.
2) Does your dentist see wear on your teeth that could be diagnosed as bruxism (teeth grinding)? This can cause headaches and teeth to ache.
3) My canine tooth ONLY was hurting a while back. I went to the dentist and he did an x-ray. My tooth was fine. It was coming from my sinuses. Most of the time all of my top teeth hurt with a sinus infection. Your teeth can hurt from just barametric changes in the weather if you are prone to sinus issues.
Blessings & Prayers for relief for you.
