Severe ITP and surgery?

This is for anyone with severe ITP (plt < 30) who has undergone major surgery. How did your hematologist and surgeon mediate your situation with medications/surgical techniques and how did you fare in the short and long terms?

Mine dropped to 30 after aortic valve replacement. It just took time for them to replenished normally.
