Severe gastric side effects from Ubrelvy?

I’ve been taking Ubrelvy as a rescue for the past three months or so, also taking Qulipta as a preventative, the last two times I took Untelvy I had severe diarrhea in the middle of the night and stomach pain for at least a day. Headache improved but the stomach problems tied me to the house. Anyone else experienced this?

Now that you mention it!
I usually suffer from constipation but the other day I took a Ubrelvy for the very first time and the next day I had diarrhea.
I suffer from constant migraine 24/7 and usually a 8-10 pain level.
I’m too old for Triptans (I’m almost 63) and Qulipta and Nurtec have a $400 copay. My specialist gave me some samples of Ubrelvy to try.
I will pay attention next time I take one to see if I get diarrhea again, I will let you know.

Guess I’ve lucky. I have been taking Ubrelvy for a couple of years now - along with Aimovig as a preventative - and have not had this experience. Talk to your doctor, my son takes Neurtec.

Hi @roseann4z - are you still taking the ubrogepant (Ubrelvy) as a rescue medication? Are you still having stomach problems?

@mojo244 - what did you notice about the diarrhea side effect with taking the ubrogepant (Ubrelvy) again?

Thanks for checking on me!

I have only taken it once. Because of the high copay I will never purchase any of the migraine meds.
I’m saving the samples for when I’m traveling but I will try to remember to give an update.

@lisalucier I spoke to the neurologist & she switched me to Nurtec. Took it once so far and no stomach problems. The Ubrelvy worked for pain but the lady 2 times I took it in the aftetnoon I woke up in the middle of the night with severe diarrhea that lasted into the next day. Took Imodium & Pepto stomach felt yucky for rest of the day. Seemed to be more than coincidence.
