rafiki5854, Hey there. I have battled Fibro for over 30 years. I get in those flares and they are so painful and
tiring. I have been unable to get into see a Rheumatologist. My Endocrinologist told me I needed to see
someone and to look up "Fibromyalgia Specialist" and see if they would take my insurance. I cannot tolerate any of the traditional meds for Fibro and what I can take, doesn't work. If your weather has been all over the
place with barometric extremes, this could account for more pain and fatigue. I so understand.

I did find a Spine/Fibromyalgia/Arthritis specialist and the next step (as soon as other things are taken care of
physically) I am going to try trigger point injections. The doctor told me he has had terrific results for up to 6 months with Fibro patietnts.

Praying you can find someone like this to help you. Google it. Blessings & Prayers....

I wish I had the answer for you. I am desperately in search of the right treatment to get out of pain. Muscle relaxer helps. I pray you can find something that works for you.

@covidstinks2023
Has anyone been told it could be hormone related?

@covidstinks2023 thank you so much! I will start looking for one tomorrow. My Dr said there was nothing they could do to help.

I’ve had fibromyalgia for 30 years. I know certain things will cause a flare, so I keep a log to track my food, medication, supplements, and anything I feel might be a cause for a flare. Dental work 💯 will initiate a flare. I try to have as much done, at one time, as I can. Vitamin C, Wellbutrin, and OTC Nutrops (mushrooms). Very sensitive to over-the-counter and prescription RX. These are just a few, off the top of my head, that I can think of. For myself, I can take 40mg of Prednisone, (2-20mg tabs. Not a steroid pack.), to manage a flare. Prednisone does have impressive side effects. However, since I try to keep it at 40mg or less monthly, knock on wood, I have not noticed any side effects. Good luck!
