Severe chest tightness when waking up every morning

Posted by @anon56837187, Sep 15, 2012

Hi, I have been waking up with severe tightness in my chest, sore throat, and choking sensation for the past 2 years. The GERD medication was no help at all. Avoiding acidic foods and sleeping with pillow propped up did not help either. I feel very exhausted every morning. The tightness goes away after an hour every morning. I am actually pretty skinny and exercise at least 3 times a week. I think my GI doctor just about to give up on me. I can’t wake up like this every morning. I know it is not cardio or I would have been dead. What is wrong with me?

Sorry to have responded so late. I am in process of selling and moving to a new location. No, I have not. I don’t think I will be accepted for sleep study. What do you think? My symptoms persist everyday. I feel that my doctors are clueless.

Thanks! I’ve thought about it, but my nurse friend does not think so. I shall discuss with my doctor. My primary thinks it’s the spasm of the muscle. I will also get a humidifier.

Besides my unresolved symptoms, I now have low creatinine and high bun level. I get it for the possibility of low muscle mass and dehydration. Could this also mean something else for I also have positive ANA and high Titer?
