Sensory processing issues, do you have them?

Posted by jum13 @jum13, Mar 14 8:23pm

I had no idea what was happening to me when I first started getting symptoms. Aside from the physical issues it felt like I was walking on a boat at sea, rocking. I also had issues with space and depth. Of course I walked as little as possible. Now years later I still have those sensory issues but I have adopted and changed the way I walk. When I take that step I can’t feel where it’s going but I tell my brain it will be ok. Maybe like jumping in a pool and assuming it will be ok? Just wondering if it is my neuropathy or something else? Also I feel dizzy a lot but I sort of have to tell my brain I am not and just keep going. Anyone?

Hello,
So sorry about what you’re going through. And yes unfortunately, what you’re experiencing is part of neuropathy and people experience that to varying degrees. The condition does affect sensory nerves. I’m really not sure what medically can be done to lessen the effects.
Wishing you the best and take care,
gus

Sorry to hear about your nerve problems. If you haven’t seen your PCP, you need to. Perhaps you have a neurologist. There is something going on w/the communication between your brain and maybe your spine or legs. Sometimes something going on w/ ear canals can bring up some balance issues. However you may need to have some doctor eyes on you
