Seeking Updated Info on Neuromas

Posted by marcd2k @marcd2k, 1 day ago

Hello, everyone,
I'm currently being evaluated for a Neuroma in my abdomen, and the majority of the information here is from 2021. I have researched a bit, and the neuroma for the abdomen is called a Ganglioneuroma.

This sounds very similar to Cutaneous Nerve Entrapment Syndrome, where the nerve is being impinged on, or compressed. The initial treatment is the same, a nerve block in the area of the pain, and you should notice a major improvement almost immediately.

My pain is in my Right Flank / Oblique area, between my bottom rib and my hip. The muscles are constantly locked/spasmed, and this causes pain all day, every day. My surgeon was examining the area this past week, and as he was pressing in that area, one spot caused me to jump from the pain. That is where they are planning on doing the nerve block.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Thank you, have the best day you can!
