Scar tissue

I have scar tissue before tkr and still have it.hurt day and night…What can help me

Well, you didn’t say how far out you are from your surgery and you didn’t say if you are doing the exercises so you’re going to have to be patient and wait for healing to happen and you’re also going to have to make an effort to do the exercises. MUA is covered by insurance. MFR is covered by insurance, but it has to happen as part of physical therapy. I chose to pay for MFR out of my pocket because I have a very good therapist who doesn’t take insurance. You can also work on your scar tissue yourself. Look online for acupressure and self massage for scar tissue. Good luck.

That's all great advice Lorie, thanks. Yeah I finally started PT for my shoulder replacement yesterday. Been using only a CPM machine for two weeks.

My PT recommended self massage of my shoulder 2x/day, among other things. I'll do anything to keep scare tissue away.

wow, you had the surgery! My goodness, time flies. I imagine you will be healed up and good to go in no time! I wish for you healing and recovery. DOCTORS ORDERS!!! No dislocations!
