I seem to have scar tissue, at least that’s what the dr says. Very painful, massage therapist says it is restricted fascia in the knee. I am miserable.

I'm sorry Rochelle. What has your Dr suggested?

There is a technique - MUA - manipulation under anesthesia - that I suggest you research to see if it can treat scar tissue.

All the best to you.

MUA, and MFR - and if the MFR therapist suggests surgery then consult a doctor who can deal with the scar tissue surgically. It takes more than a visit or two at the MFR therapist and can take a few months to see the results.

Well, you didn’t say how far out you are from your surgery and you didn’t say if you are doing the exercises so you’re going to have to be patient and wait for healing to happen and you’re also going to have to make an effort to do the exercises. MUA is covered by insurance. MFR is covered by insurance, but it has to happen as part of physical therapy. I chose to pay for MFR out of my pocket because I have a very good therapist who doesn’t take insurance. You can also work on your scar tissue yourself. Look online for acupressure and self massage for scar tissue. Good luck.
