Since you have to go into each session with a full bladder, don't drink caffeine until *after* your radiation therapy each day. It's a diuretic, and will make it harder to hold on if they're running late.
Otherwise, take it easy and ask questions if you need to. They will give you a handout about self-care, including any dietary suggestions (if they haven't done so already, ask for it), but there's really not much to worry about or do differently.
Typically, side effects are mild, don't show up until a few weeks after, and disappear in a few months — I was unluckily not typical, but even in my case, it's not so bad.
