Sarcoidosis

Sarcoid can manifest itself in many body parts. My husband has lung sarcoid and suffered for years with a large patch on his leg that nobody could figure out what it was. There are many treatments for skin sarcoid that are generally patient specific. What does your doctor advise? There are many creams, corticosteroids, laser, antibiotics, biologics - and the list goes on. Irene5

I believe the treatment is the same. Corticosteroids definitely help with the inflammation. Irene5

Hello. Like you, I’ve had cutaneous sarcoidosis for about a year. I’ve been treated with cortisone, Plaquenil, and methotrexate, but unfortunately none of them have been effective. In fact, my condition has continued to worsen.

I know this discussion was started two years ago, but if anyone has had a similar experience or has found a treatment that helped, I would really appreciate hearing about your treatment journey and what worked for you.
