Salzmamn's nodules
Anyone have adverse affects when Salzmann's nodules were removed. I had one eye done. Now Dr is reluctant to do the second.

I had my left eye done some years ago and it was difficult. I also had prolonged inflammation, pain, slight reduction in vision and scarring, I have a nodule on my right eye now that needs surgery, but I hesitate due to my prior experience in the left eye. I am now under the care of a top rated eye center in the country, but I am still hesitant. My doctors haven’t encouraged removal at this time, but I think we will do it since I may need cataract surgery in the future. I have a lot of decisions to make soon.
What problems did you encounter?
I had my left eye done, with tentative plans for the right eye in 6 weeks. At the 6 week check Dr. said let’s wait another 12 weeks. After 18 weeks she was hesitant to do the right eye since it still had the better vision. Now I'm concerned about doing it at all. I had cataract surgery about 10 years ago. I had never heard of Salzmann's nodules.
Where is your eye center?
