RO-DBT and overcontrol personality disorder

Posted by helpforson @helpforson, Jan 29 3:15pm

I'm seeking information about Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT). Has anyone had experience with this treatment approach, either personally or with a loved one? I'm particularly interested in hearing about its effectiveness.

Sorry. I am not familiar with this particular therapy. Hope someone does who can help you.

@helpforson I am familiar with DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) which has been around for many years and has scientific evidence for its effectiveness. DBT was first developed by Dr. Marcia Linehan is a well known program among mental health therapist. I am not familiar with RO (Radically Open) DBT. Is this a group therapy with a mental health therapist that your loved one might join? Or is it individual therapy?

@helpforson Thank you for the link. Is this a therapeutic approach for you? For someone else? I'm wondering about your interest and whether this approach is of interest because other therapeutic approaches have not been effective in the past?
