Risedronate and Insomnia
After taking Risedronate for Osteoporosis, I developed severe insomnia: difficulty falling asleep, or sometimes not sleeping the whole night. My doctor refused this connection and ignored my insomnia issue. I would change a doctor, but what if the other doctor says the same?

You could do your own research online. If you find that there is a clear association, you could bring that to the attention of your current doc. If he does not agree, you could make an appt for a second opinion.
Don't you take Risedronate in the morning? How does that affect your sleep at night?

1 ReactionDon't you take Risedronate first thing in the morning when you wake up? How do you know if that's what's affecting your sleep so many hours later? I take it upon waking(and not lying down for at least 1/2 hour as directed) and I do sleep at night .

1 Reaction@mmwagner46 I am taking it in the morning once a month (150mg) for about one year. I do not know what affects my sleep, but I read some comments on the internet and thought maybe this is the reason.
@tillymack This is what I am going to do.

2 Reactions@nataasat Yes, I take 150mg also once a month in the morning . Does not affect my sleep
14 hours later.
@mmwagner46 I might have another issue, like thyroid.
@nataasat I take levothyroxine (thyroid med) also. in the morning. Doesn't affect my sleep.
If you are taking the right dose, it will not affect your sleep. But about 6-7 months ago, I needed to increase the dose, and maybe now this new dose is too much for me. I am waiting for the blood test result.
