Right lower quadrant pain x3 months
This started while I was doing jiu jitsu with or so I think. Pain is near or at my bottom rid and seems to be focal to about a four inch in diameter area. I had an X-ray and ultrasound both found nothing except scoliosis/and prior spine injuries. I had a recent complete Gi work up about a year ago and all is good. All basic labs are good.
The pain comes and goes. However I notice most when sitting or lying down. I'm pretty active and health conscious ,it doesn't slow me down but it has gotten worse and is getting to be unsettling.
I thought it might be a hernia but the ultrasound ruled that out. Oblique strain? Spinal nerve pain ? Anyone ?

Did you get MRis of your cervical and lumbar spine by an orthopedic spine specialist? Have you been to a neurologist for EMG/nerve conduction studies and bloodwork?
When you say lower quadrant pain, do you mean lower body, lower back, torso, abdomen, legs?
I've had a "mystery pain" on my left side (front) for about a year now. Ultrasound and MRI show nothing. One thing they checked me for was "ACNES", which is: Anterior Cutaneous Nerve Entrapment Syndrome, a condition characterized by chronic pain in the abdominal wall. It occurs when the anterior cutaneous nerves, which supply sensation to the abdomen, become entrapped or compressed. This was negative for me. Then they thought it could be "Mesentery Panniculitis", which is inflammation in the fatty tissue of the abdomen. This was ruled out because a lab test for inflammation in the body was negative. Just a few ideas, probably not the problem you have, but you never know. Good luck!
I dont know what it is, but I've had it for going on 40 years. Sometimes it disappears for months at a time. Sometimes its really bad. Sometimes I just about notice it. Over the years, done all the tests. No one has ever come up with an answer. For me, I think it is all related to my back and spine. Amoung other things I have compression on the nerves which can cause pain and discomfort to some many other areas of your body. I dont think doctors are interested in finding the root of the problem anymore, because once they find a test is normal they basically give up. This does not apply to Mayo doctors.
