Rezdiffra Odd Side Effect Stones

I’ve had an odd occurrence begin about 45 days after starting Rezdiffra. I had a history of 3 kidney stones over 15 years. Since Rezdiffra, I have gotten 3 in 6 months. Secondarily, I have been getting frequent and larger tonsil stones in the same time frame. I have never had them in my life. ENT can’t find any indicators of why this is happening, and calls to specialty pharmacist left them befuddled as well. Anyone have this experience?

@stevetc, I want to welcome you to Connect and share one experience that I had related to kidney stone. I am not familiar with Rezdiffra and side effects because I have never taken it however as a liver/kidney transplant recipient, my transplant team looks at things more closely that my local doctors. I'm guessing that 10 years ago, a kidney stone showed up on an abdominal image. My kidney team referred me to be tested by the kidney stone specialist (sorry, I don't recall the medical name) I think it involved a blood draw and urine sample to determine the cause of the stone. My results verified that it was likely a rogue stone, and needed on follow-up, except to continue to drink enough water daily.

@stevetc, Who prescribed the Rezdiffra? What are your thoughts about discussing and sharing this information with them?

"Tonsil stones" are unrelated and are not stones, but food residue that gets collected in tonsils. I've had it for years and squeeze my tonsils regularly to remove it.

The kidney stones would really worry you. I've been afraid to take Rezdiffra and am trying to find out what to do. Let us know how you are....
